Daniel P. Preiner, JD<\/h1>\nSECOND VICE PRESIDENT, LAW, SECURIAN FINANCIAL GROUP<\/h4>\n
Daniel Preiner is the Second Vice President, Law for Securian Financial Group where he is responsible for leading all non-litigation legal support for the financial institution and group employer divisions, as well as corporate governance. He also oversees matters relating to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and the review of procurement and information technology contracts. In 2011, Dan joined Securian Financial\u2019s Law department, bringing with him private practice experience in securities regulations, M&A and general corporate matters. His responsibilities expanded in 2014 to include the role of chief privacy officer. A year later, Dan was named director and corporate compliance officer, assuming leadership for the development and execution of the corporatewide compliance program. In 2017, he was promoted to second vice president, corporate compliance officer and chief information security officer, with the added responsibilities of developing and executing the enterprise information security strategy. Daniel holds of Bachelor of Arts in Management from St. John\u2019s University and a Juris Doctor from William Mitchell College of Law. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FLMI) and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP).
