In his role as Senior Legal Counsel, Mr. Petkovic is responsible for providing legal advice and representation to all of Valmark\u2019s various business lines and entities. Prior to joining Valmark, Mr. Petkovic spent nearly a decade in private practice litigating and arbitrating securities and financial-services-industry-related matters in Ohio and throughout the United States. During that time, he was involved, as both lead counsel and as a part of litigation teams, in more than 100 filed FINRA arbitration claims, trying several claims to verdict. He has also represented registered individuals before regulatory bodies, including the Ohio Division of Securities and FINRA. Mr. Petkovic received a BBA in Finance from Kent State University, graduating Cum Laude, and a JD from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, Cleveland State University. He holds a Certified Regulatory Compliance Professional (CRCP)\u00ae designation from the FINRA Institute at Georgetown University.<\/p>\n
